Fall Crawl General Information

Welcome to the SuperShafty 7th Annual Fall Crawl, taking place at the incredible man-made rafting facility in McHenry, Maryland (Deep Creek Lake), October 3-6, 2024! This event promises to be an exciting 4 days of remote-controlled (R/C) rock crawling, fun activities, and great company.

The event will take place at the Adventure Sports Center International (ASCI), a unique whitewater rafting facility built atop a mountain. The location provides a stunning backdrop for the event, with beautiful fall foliage surrounding the course. The man-made course is designed to challenge even the most skilled drivers, with natural-looking terrain and obstacles that will put your skills to the test.

The SuperShafty Fall Crawl is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experts. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in various classes and challenges, including timed races, obstacle courses, and more. The event will also include vendor booths, raffles, and giveaways, making it a great opportunity to meet other R/C enthusiasts and check out the latest gear and accessories.

The Main portion of this event will be based on SORRCA rules.
Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Diva C2, SCX6, Kids Class, and the ever popular U4 Style Rock Race

We will also have some additional NON Scale Classes Based on WRCCA Rules, Pro Class, Sportsman Class, SUPER and Mini Class.
Yes, new for 2023 - SCX6 Class and SUPER Class.

Lodging:

Official Event hotel: Lodge at WISP. - Rooms will be blocked again.
GROUP CODE FOR WISP: 6063 Must call 855-656-4632 to reserve room.

There are also TONS of rental properties around the lake, which this is off-season, so Group together and rent a whole house for cheap.
And RV Camp sites less than 5 miles away on the other side of rt219.

At the Event:

There are LOTS of accessible areas for those with limited mobility to watch.
Kids are welcome. There will be 2 kids courses during the event each day for Kids 12 and under. For those that are more skilled, they are encouraged to compete in the normal classes too.
Canopies are allowed. There are no benches, tables or chairs around the comp area. Please bring your own.
Because of wind, canopies MUST be completely taken down at night. Anything left standing at dark will be confiscated by ASCI event staff.

Alcohol is not permitted on ASCI property.
Restrooms are on site.
Coolers will be permitted. But NO Glass.
Smoking on course is not allowed.
No motorized vehicles except in parking lots.
Nobody is permitted on course, after the courses are closed for the day. Breaking this rule is grounds for DNF.

We should be able to get a Food Truck back again. But have not decided who yet.

8:00am to 11:00am	Open Registration and Tech for Judges and Ironman Drivers
11:00am	Drivers Meeting
12:00pm to 6:00pm	Select scale Courses open
2:00pm - 6:00pm	Open Registration and Tech for all classes.
FRIDAY Oct 4
6:30am to 8:00am	Open Registration and Tech
8:30am to 9:00am	Drivers meeting
9:00am to 9:15am	Judges Meeting
9:30am to 4:00pm	WRCCA Super & Pro Courses open.
9:30am to 5:00pm	C2, C3 & SCX6 Courses open
5:00pm to 5:30pm	WRCCA Super Shootout (If enough entered)
6:30pm to 10pm	SUPERSHAFTY AFTER DARK - Presented by Corrupt Carbon Works, ShiftRCS, and Sidemind Creations Doors open at 6:30pm, event gets underway at 7:30pm.
SATURDAY Oct 5
6:30am to 8:00am	Open Registration and Tech
8:30am to 9:00am	Drivers meeting
9:00am to 9:15am	Judges meeting
9:30am to 5:00pm	C1, C2 & SCX6 Courses Open.
9:30am to 3:00pm	WRCCA Mini & Sportsman Courses open.
3:00pm to 3:30pm	WRCCA Mini Shootout
5:30pm Until finished	U4 Racing in the bowl!!! - U4 Race track OPEN. Racers will line up with 4-5 other trucks for a 5 minute Heat race. U4 is open to all 1/10 and 1/8 SCALE Rock trucks and 4S Max Batteries. There will be 4 classes. Solid Axle, Open, 4x4 SCT & SCX6. If you have something questionable, please ask ahead of time. U4 Final directly after Heat Racing.
SUNDAY Oct 6
9:00am to 1:00pm	Top 5 Shootouts for ALL SORRCA classes back to back to back. C1, C3 then C2
9:00am to 12:00pm	WRCCA Sportsman & Pro Shootouts
1:00pm-2:30pm	Awards and door prizes for all participants.
3:00pm	Travel Home safely.

SORRCA Style SCX6 Class CUSTOM RULES APPLY - FRIDAY & SATURDAY
SORRCA CLASS 1 RULES APPLY - SATURDAY ONLY EVENT

SORRCA - DIVA Scale Class 2 - Alright Ladies, time to dust off the trucks and come out to compete against the other Ladies of the crowd. There has been enough interest shown that we will give it a shot for this years event. The DIVA Class is a Saturday only event. And will be run on separate courses. BUT, the maximum COUNTED Scale points will be 30. You can have more, but you'll max out at 30. Awards will be given for the Top 3 in class as long as we have 10+ signed up. If you sign up for this class, you may ALSO sign up for the standard Class 2, as they are not run on the same courses anymore. This is the ONLY class, that you can share a truck with someone else in. Sorry Fellas, no you can not "Identify as" for this event. 🙂

WRCCA Rules - Mini Crawler Class - SATURDAY ONLY EVENT

U4 Rock Race - Solid Axle Class - SATURDAY ONLY EVENT - Solid Axle Class, Such as Ryfts, Bombers, Wraiths etc. 1.9 or 2.2 Style wheels only. 5.99 Size tires or smaller. Must have a full body or Cage. Must have solid axles front and rear.
U4 Rock Race - Independent Suspension Class - SATURDAY ONLY EVENT - Independent Suspension class, Front, Rear or Full. This is an open class, but is still limited to U4RC Rules. Trucks that would qualify for this class would be Rock Rey, Yeti, Lasernut, or other similar builds.
U4 Rock Race - 4x4 Short Course Class - SATURDAY ONLY EVENT - 4x4 Short Course Trucks - Must be 4x4, Must be pan style chassis. Must have full tire body coverage. Limited to 2.2/3.0 Style wheels/tires. Trucks that would qualify for this class would be: Slash 4x4, Senton, TTPro, SC10 etc.
And last but not least, SCX6.
