Wraith Beef Tubes

What is an AR60 Beef Tube, you ask? They are an upgrade for the Axial AR60 axle housing that are used on the Axial Wraith and Yeti. They benefit the rig in several ways. First, They add non-rotating weight down low to help the C.G. on your rig, enabling you to run less rotating weight in the tires. They also "BEEF" up the axle housing itself to help keep from snapping the housing in half. The main benefit is that they give you a solid metal mount for the c-hub screws, instead of the stock thin plastic that normally holds the c-hub screws and strips out easily.

They will work in both the front and rear axle housings. Tubes come pre-drilled, tapped, and ready to install.

You will receive one pair of AR60 Beef Tubes (one axle) .

Tube weight = 1.44 ounces per set.

Wraith Beef Tubes are machined so that they will work with the stock plastic housing. They will work in the Vanquish aluminum housing with slight modifications.

These are the Original AR60/Wraith Beef Tubes. Please DO NOT be fooled by the imitations out there!!!

AR60 (WRAITH) INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove axle housing from rig and completely disassemble so that you have the EMPTY AXLE HOUSING.

2. SLIDE BEEF TUBES INTO AXLE HOUSING.

3. REASSEMBLE THE AXLE PER THE AXIAL INSTRUCTIONS.

4. YOU MUST USE THE INCLUDED 3MM X 6MM MACHINE SCREWS TO INSTALL THE C-HUBS. DO NOT USE THE STOCK SCREWS!

INSTALLATION TIPS:

DO TO THE VARIATIONS THAT OCCUR IN INJECTION MOLDED PIECES, YOU MAY NOTICE THAT YOUR BEEF TUBES MAY NOT WANT TO GO ALL OF THE WAY INTO THE AXLE HOUSING. SIMPLY GIVE IT A LITTLE PERSUASION AND THAY WILL GO.

YOU MUST SAND/GRIND/FILE THE BEARING RETAINER LIP ON THE AXLE SHAFT SO THAT THEY WILL FIT INTO THE BEEF TUBE (FIG. 1). REMOVE JUST ENOUGH SO THE SHAFT WILL SLIDE IN WITHOUT ANY INTERFERENCE. THE BEEF TUBES ARE DESIGNED THIS WAY TO RETAIN MAXIMUM WALL THICKNESS TO RETAIN STRENGTH.

THIS SCREW (FIG. 2) MAY CONTACT THE BEEF TUBE ONCE INSTALLED AND NOT SEEM TO TIGHTEN ALL THE WAY. IF SO, SIMPLY REMOVE SCREW AND SHORTEN IT BY SANDING/GRINDING/FILING JUST ENOUGH OFF SO THAT IT NO LONGER CONTACTS THE BEEF TUBE ONCE INSTALLED. BRASS AR60 BEEF TUBES ARE DRILLED AND TAPPED IN THIS LOCATION AND THE STOCK SCREW MUST BE REPLACED BY A 3MM X 6MM MACHINE SCREW.
